Marcie Donaldson comes from a long line of Wicca’s, with a gift she chose to ignore for a guy, Dan McKenzie. Sam, tired and disillusioned is on his way home from Seattle. After a six-month investigation of a big time Marijuana grow operator goes bad, his reputation and loyalty are now in question.
When Marcie lands in his path, for a split second he considers turning the other way. Instead, in an act of chivalry, he takes her in, just until he can find out who she is. Then her dreams start. Questions of what Marcie was involved in appear to parallel what Sam investigated in Jefferson County. Was she set up? Or was this a game she played?
What neither can predict when they return to Gardiner, Washington and involve the DEA and local Sheriff’s department, is what they would uncover. It was a crossing of time, of wrongs carried forward and something at play in a choice Marcie initiated, which may already be too late to resolve. Sam is forced to make a choice, turn and walk away from the attraction that connects them together, or risk losing everything.
