The Forgotten Child

[Coming Soon]

Forgotten Child Photo

When Emily Nelson answers an ad as a cook and live-in caregiver to a three-year old boy on a local ranch, owner Brad Friessen hires and moves the mother of three in. But Emily soon discovers something is wrong with this three-year old boy.

Developmentally she recognises the familiar signs of autism. Persistent she struggles to give Brad hope, to help him come to terms with this neurological disorder and to take the necessary steps to advocate for his child.

Suddenly Brad’s estranged wife Crystal returns after abandoning them two years earlier. The emotional bond forged between Brad and Emily and the children is threatened. The primary focus for care of three year old Trevor is diverted. The lenghts that Crystal will go to just to keep what is hers, include the threat of taking Brad's child away. The greed and the lies are nothing short of cold and calculating.

When Crystal is outmanoeuvred she strikes back declaring the child is not his. Both Emily and Brad fight with passion and fire, enduring heartache and pain, unwilling to surrender.

Marijuana field under surveillance

Marcie Donaldson comes from a long line of Wicca’s, with a gift she chose to ignore for a guy, Dan McKenzie. He takes her into his world of lies, greed and BC bud, easy money and harmless crime with little risk or danger. That’s what she told herself for two years as she helped Dan run a large Marijuana grow operation in the Pacific Northwest.

Somehow, fate intervened. On a trip to New Orleans, Marcie is attacked out of nowhere. Her backpack is snatched away and she hits her head on the concrete floor, losing her memory, right in the path of DEA agent, Sam Carre.

Sam, tired and disillusioned is on his way home from Seattle. After a six-month investigation of a big time Marijuana grow operator goes bad, his reputation and loyalty are now in question.

When Marcie lands in his path, for a split second he considers turning the other way. Instead, in an act of chivalry, he takes her in, just until he can find out who she is. Then her dreams start. Questions of what Marcie was involved in appear to parallel what Sam investigated in Jefferson County. Was she set up? Or was this a game she played?

What neither can predict when they return to Gardiner, Washington and involve the DEA and local Sheriff’s department, is what they would uncover. It was a crossing of time, of wrongs carried forward and something at play in a choice Marcie initiated, which may already be too late to resolve. Sam is forced to make a choice, turn and walk away from the attraction that connects them together, or risk losing everything.
