Saved

Captain Eric Hamilton is commanding a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Persian Gulf when his crew spots a small boat drifting alone on open water. Inside is a badly injured, heavily pregnant American woman who should never have been there.

Her name is Abby Carlton.

She has been missing for nearly a year.

Abby escaped the man who held her captive, but freedom aboard an American warship doesn’t mean she’s safe. She knows enough to be afraid of what she left behind—and not enough to know who she can trust.

For Eric, rescuing her should have been the end of it. Instead, questions begin coming from higher up the chain of command. Intelligence channels take an interest. Orders arrive without explanations. And the more Eric tries to understand why one rescued civilian matters to people far beyond his ship, the more resistance he encounters.

Someone wants to know what Abby saw.

Someone may already know she’s alive.

And Eric is beginning to realize that pulling her from the Gulf may have put them both in the path of something far more dangerous than the man she escaped.

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lorhainne Eckhart comes a gripping military romantic thriller about survival, trust, hidden agendas, and the dangerous consequences of asking the wrong questions.
