There are too many things I don’t know and many things I now wish I didn’t. I’ve noticed more and more, and so have my kids, that many grown adults have been forcing their will and hatred of fellow man upon children as of late. Disturbingly, what many people don’t realize, and it certainly will never be reported in mainstream media, is the fact that depression in our young adults and kids has skyrocketed to 75%. This has me scratching my head, because it seems for the first time in history that our children are the ones having to sacrifice for the older generation, the adults meant to be standing up for them. Yes, my kids have great heads on their shoulders, but after this crap that has been going on for two years, I’ve seen what resembles PTSD in my kids. Sorry, but I’m not buying it anymore.
My father died long before my kids were born, but one thing he said has stuck in my head more and more as of late. There exists a great evil among us, especially in the people in power. For each of us, this evil could be something different. For me, it’s harm to children. You don’t hurt children, not ever. And this harm doesn’t come in just one form. I’ve mentioned in a number of blog posts that critical thinking has been stripped from our kids. Schools and teachers hold a ton of accountability. As of late, I’ve been going back through the math taught to my daughter. One example is that even if the students came up with the right answer, it was marked wrong if they didn’t show the specific convoluted formula as it was taught. This has me wondering if this has been done deliberately to confuse a generation of kids. I’m not kidding. I don’t know what the hell is going on in schools with the curriculum. Remember, it’s the government that decides on the curriculum, but the fact that too many teachers are just going along with it is a huge red flag. Unfortunately, what has become the norm is that if you speak up, you’re fired, and then you can’t pay your mortgage and support your family. Even if you’re unwilling, you keep your job only if you comply.
But this is where it gets worse. Behind the scenes, the politicos currently in power are doing dumbass things without accountability to we the people. I mean, how many of you have actually tried to contact your local representative, from the big house all the way down to your local mayor? By the way, your and my tax dollars are paying their salaries. If you take the billions and trillions we pay in taxes for our roads seriously, the roads should all be paved in gold. But back to letter writing. How many of you have received no answer, or maybe a form letter, or maybe a ridiculous response that tells you to go away or talks in circles or avoids giving you a straight answer? What many don’t know and some have forgotten is that politicians, all of them, are like business managers we hire to run our business. If they manage the business side of things responsibly, they report to us and follow our directives for the greater good. They don’t line their pockets and follow the agendas of the big corporations giving them kickbacks. If your business manager were stealing and pocketing money and putting your business and livelihood in jeopardy, you would fire him, right? And you would have the power to fire him.
Have you ever discovered something heinous being passed off as okay because of the words used? Just recently, I heard of something I didn’t believe could possibly be true. A bill is being introduced by the same political policymakers who came up with the word “infanticide” which basically legalizes the killing of unborn children throughout all nine months of pregnancy and also decriminalizes killing newborns even weeks after birth. There are in fact eight states who call it abortion right up to the moment of birth and allow tons of exceptions, giving untold powers to physicians, doctors, and the medical community. This borders on genocide. One governor even endorsed the notion that a woman should be able to let an infant, born alive, die on the table if she decides she does not want the child: https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-democratic-va-governor-endorses-murder-born-ben-shapiro
When I first heard the story of a physician delivering a healthy baby and calling it an abortion even though it was at full term, breathing on its own, just letting it lie there until it died, I thought it had to be a joke. Not only is that evil beyond comprehension, but I thought that doctor would have been arrested and charged with murder, that the sheriff, the police, the district attorney, and the politicians would have been all over this to stop it. But no. Legislation and bills are put into law that we the people have no idea are being slipped through. We don’t know what these evil motherfuckers are doing. Sorry, but there is no other word to call them.
Democrats, liberals, conservatives, and republicans are all the same. Evil is evil, and it has me wondering how much more has been done behind the scenes that we have no idea about. Look at the pedophilia politicians are trying to normalize, the entire woke agenda of letting kids decide their gender. Governments are able to freeze bank accounts anytime they want for no reason at all, which should terrify everyone. Our free speech is being stripped away. The list goes on and on. Once you start digging, you see the kinds of things that have been passed over the years and are being passed in secret now. And it has me asking out loud, when did looking out for your neighbor or caring about the welfare and wellbeing of your fellow man take such a back seat?
Someone said to me not long ago that we are divided into two tribes, not by religion, skin color, or location but entirely by the belief in love and respect and the future of humanity. If you look at it in a simpler form, it comes down to the story of the two wolves. I wrote about this in The Choice, from the Walk the Right Road series. It comes from the teachings of a Cherokee grandfather to his grandson. Do you remember this? Because this is where we are:
One evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
One is Evil. It is fear, anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, competition, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, friendship, respect, sharing, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied,
“The one you feed.”
This is where we are. We are at a choice of the tribe we want to belong to or rather the wolf we want to feed inside us. It really is that simple. It really is a choice.
